Alcaraz wins the US Open and becomes the youngest number one in the world


Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz gained his first Grand Slam title, turning into the youngest male tennis participant to safe the world primary spot.

The 19-year-old defeated Norway’s Casper Ruud 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 within the US Open ultimate on Sunday.

Alcaraz is the youngest Grand Slam males’s champion since Rafael Nadal on the 2005 French Open and the youngest US Open champion since Pete Sampras in 1990.

“That is one thing I’ve dreamed of since I used to be a toddler: to be primary on the earth, to be a Grand Slam champion,” Alcaraz stated.

“That is one thing I labored very, very arduous for. It is arduous to speak proper now, a variety of feelings,” she stated.
